Who we are
Impulse Electrical Enterprise is a Strathfield-based electrical business run by Matthew Neil. Matthew has held his NSW electrical licence since 2019 and personally supervises every job, so the standard of work stays the same whether you need one new power point or a full switchboard upgrade.
Being local matters. Matthew grew up in Strathfield and went to St Patrick's College Strathfield, and being based in Strathfield keeps us close to the Inner West suburbs we work in. When you call, you're dealing with a local business, not a call centre.

Every job is different, so the price depends on what needs doing, the age and condition of the existing wiring, access to the work area, and the parts or appliance you choose. We give you a free quote and agree a fixed price before any work starts, so there are no surprises. For an EV charger, you can get a rough idea first with our EV charger cost estimator. There's no call-out fee in Annandale, Dulwich Hill, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Petersham and St Peters during business hours. Elsewhere there's no extra travel fee in business hours, although jobs more than about 40 minutes away may have one, which we'll tell you about before booking. After-hours emergency call-outs are $250 + GST in every suburb, including those six.
Yes. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on 0481 228 836. If the whole street has lost power, check the Ausgrid outage map first, as the fault may be on the network. If it's just your property, or you can see sparking or smell burning, switch off the power at the switchboard if it's safe to do so and call us.
We're based in Strathfield and work across the Inner West, Balmain Peninsula, Inner City, Canada Bay, Strathfield and Burwood, and Hunters Hill areas. We also cover a wider area across Sydney, so call us if your suburb isn't listed.
Yes. Impulse Electrical Enterprise holds NSW Contractor Licence 389893C and Master Security Licence 000110688 for security work such as CCTV and intercoms. Work is completed or supervised by licensed electricians, and apprentices may attend as part of their training. Our director, Matthew Neil, has been a licensed electrician since 2019, and we hold $20 million public liability cover. Customers can ask for a copy of our certificate of currency.
Our workmanship is covered by our warranty, and products and parts come with a 2 to 7 year manufacturer's warranty, depending on the product. The details are in our Terms and Conditions, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. Existing customers can also ask for a free electrical safety inspection.
